Encouraging spaces for community food-growing

Community growing is the cultivation of land by community groups, often on land owned by someone else. Community growing can have benefits for mental health and wellbeing, levels of physical activity and improved access to healthy food in an area. There are also wider environmental and social benefits from engaging local groups in food growing as well as the aesthetic improvement to the public realm when unused space is brought into productive cultivation.
